My, oh my, how time flies. The Nominating Committee has met and we now have a complete slate of officers and committee members. Many thanks to the present board who are continuing their jobs in the next year and to the members who have agreed to take other positions. The slate will be presented for your vote at the March Luncheon. You must be present to vote so please sign up for the March luncheon and cast your vote.

If you missed the February Luncheon and Valentine Girls Fashion Show you will no doubt hear that it was a fun and lively event.  The show ended with most of us dancing in the aisles. My thanks to every one of the models who did a wonderful job of engaging the audience and of showing the fashions beautifully. To our escorts, Bravo and thank you for a job well done.

We now have 40 people signed up for our April Cruise. We are busy planning the extra events that will be just for our group. There is still time to sail with us so call Milly and come along. You really do not want to miss this Newcomers event.

See you at the luncheon,

Jodie Baker

The February board meeting will be held at the home of Jodie Baker on Wednesday March 2nd at 1:00.  Please RSVP so she can plan accordingly!  In addition, any board member not attending and wanting to submit a report, please send to her to share that day.  Thanks!

The fabulous “Valentine Girls” Fashion Show had everyone on their feet dancing in delight at the February Luncheon and General Meeting!  Jodie Baker directed and produced this unforgettable tour de force along with her brilliant assistant Joyce Brady!  Thank you to the 25 ladies and gentlemen that modeled and danced their way down our runway. The Gentlemen (“splendid eye candy”) were resplendent in classic tuxedos.  The Valentine Girl’s modeled day wear, evening wear, wedding gowns and night wear borrowed from various wardrobes among the group. The fantastic finale included delivery of cookies and Valentines to all and then everyone got up to dance, dance, dance!  Jodie was presented with beautiful flowers as a thank you for all her hard work putting this show together!

Tea Ladies

Diane Millikin welcomed us to her home for a "Pretty In Pink" celebration.  Her tables were beautiful, set with pink pressed glass dishes that belonged to her Grandmother.  As usual, there was delicious food and great conversation.  We enjoyed a rather challenging quiz, determining from bits of dialogue or a brief selection from a novel or poem, the correct title of the piece.  See if you can identify the book this came from:  J - Daisy, I made all this money for you, because I love you. Daisy - I cannot reciprocate, because I represent the American Dream.  J - Now I must die, because I also represent the American Dream.  (J Dies.)  Nick - I hate New Yorkers.

Please let me know if you are interested in attending any of the upcoming Teas.  email is best, but feel free to call me.

Come and join us for Tea this year. You can sign up any time, as I have guests lists for all of the Teas through 2016. Please contact me ASAP, as they are filling up fast. Email is best:
